An all women Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) contingent with 125 officers are being deployed as part of the UN Formed Police Unit (FPU)
to train Liberian National Police, participate
in joint patrolling, and perform riot control
duties.
This is the first time, an all woman continent
is being sent as part of a UN mission. |

An all women Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) contingent with 125 officers are being deployed as part of the UN Formed Police Unit (FPU) to train Liberian National Police, participate in joint patrolling, and perform riot control duties. This is the first time, an all woman continent is being sent as part of a UN mission.
Under the leadership of Commandant Seema Dhundia, the fully-equipped “Blue Helmets” contingent will be armed with pistols, INSAS rifles, AK-47s, and light machine guns. Highly motivated and driven, the troopers say that they have faced unruly mobs of Gujarat , Meerut , and Ayodhya and will “show the world the courage and capability of Indian women.”
