    Auto Exports Up 28% in Q1
  Automobile export from India surged 28% in the 1st quarter with impressive data from Korean Hyundai Motors and Indian Maruti Udyog and Tata Motors showing a jump of 27.3% and motorcycles by 45.3% totaling 247,847 units.
     
 

Automobile export from India surged 28% in the 1st quarter with impressive data from Korean Hyundai Motors and Indian Maruti Udyog and Tata Motors showing a jump of 27.3% and motorcycles by 45.3% totaling 247,847 units.

Hyundai led the pack with 63% of the 49,132 cars exported up 26.3% and Maruti showed 7,544 units with an export jump of 12.93%. Tata Motors export jumped to 4865 units up 47.78%. The Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers that released the data did not disclose the value of the exports.
