Nuclear & Bio-Warfare Suits

 

The Indian Army has started create a large number of nuclear and biological warfare command centers to direct battle operations in a modern hostile environments in addition to mass manufacturing of nuclear radiation resistant suits for these forces. 

Army Chief General J.J. Singh said, “The Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO), along with some key private sector players, have indigenously developed the nuclear warfare gear.” He also said that induction of this uniform will be in stages with more vulnerable areas getting it first.

For the first time, all Indian Commanders assembled in one location to review the country’s preparedness to fight in a nuclear and biological warfare scenario. Many senior nuclear and biological scientists addressed the commanders uprising them of different dangers of different scenarios and known response systems.

 

The Army also displayed protection equipment, command shelter props, and other radiation-proof equipment. The Army is also on a major upgrade drive to make equipment, including main battle tanks (MBT), withstand nuclear radiation. Army sources say that already 30% of tanks are capable of operating in a nuclear environment.
