joint study by the Confederation of
Indian Industry (CII) and McKinsey
report said that health tourism to
India will be large business and will
reach USD 12 billon by 2012. Contrary
to popular perceptions, patients from
many countries of the world including
developed nations come to India
seeking super-specialty treatments.
Patients
from the US, UK, parts of Europe,
Africa, Canada, and South Asia have
risen by over 60% year on year.
Most
popular treatments are orthopedics,
cardiac surgery, plastic surgery,
neuro-surgery, kidney related
diseases, and dental treatment. |
