  4 More Districts Report Outbreak

Even as 64,000 birds were culled in Jalgaon district, the bird flu epidemic spread, 4 more districts reported the death of birds due to mysterious circumstances. Samples of the dead birds have been sent to Bhopal-based High Security Animal Diseases Laboratory to deduce the cause for the death. Authorities have barred local bazaars, vehicular transportation to infected areas, and organized medical checkups for the 200,000 population. Leveraging political connections and with police collusion, over 600,000 birds from infected districts have already moved by poultry owners to other districts.
