The Ministry of Civil Aviation is considering the creation of an independent body that will regulate airport and civil aviation issues. Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel revealed that this authority would manage issues like allotting parking bays, time slots, airport tariffs, consumer issues, and other functional issues. With the increase in the number of domestic flights and international carrier flights to India, there is an increasing demand for parking and landing rights in overcrowded and under-prepared airports.
