The Muttahid Jihad Council (MJC), a conglomerate of terrorist groups based in Pakistan, has for the first time said that the implementation United Nations resolutions are irrelevant. Instead, they support the notion of an "independent" and "demilitarized" Kashmir. The Hurriyat Conference in Jammu & Kashmir, with tacit support of Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf has been floating the concept of a "United States of Kashmir." The third round of composite dialogue process between India and Pakistan is to start on January 17, 2006.
