Gramardhanatha Temple-On The Same Wall

Tribh. Virarajendradeva-7th Year 

This might possible be a record of Kulottunga III. It registers a gift of 28 kasu with the interest on which to burn a light during the services in the temple, by one Vasishtan  Sriraghavan Paramesvaran. The amount was left in deposit with a Sivabrahmana of the temple, (with his right of worship as security therefore?)

Gramardhanatha Temple-On The Same Wall

Tribh. Virarajendra-Chola (Kulottunga Iii)- 6th Year 

The details of date are given as Makara su. 2, Monday, Avittam may Correspond to A.D. 1183, December 19, the tithi having ended at  .66 on the Previous day.

This records a gift by Kiliyur Malaiyaman Suriyan Nirerran alias Rajaraja-malaiyakularayan the chief of Maladu, of the taxes kadamai and padikaval due to him in kind from Puttur a village belonging to the sabha of the place, to provide for offerings and unguents to the deity in the temple of Urbagankondaruliya-Nayanar at Iraiyanaraiyur. Other taxes also like tariyirai, tattarpattam, vetti-muttaiyal were made over to the temple and were to be collected by the sabha on behalf of the temple.

The details of date are given as Makara, su. 2, Monday.

The inscription is mutilated. It seems to record a gift of money for offerings and worship to the deity by Suriyan Nirerran alias Rajaraja-Malaiyakula-rayan the same donor mentioned in No. 158 above, the Malaiyaman chief of Kiliyur.

On The Same Rock (Near Ottaikulam)

Virarajendra-Chola-6th Year.

This records the remission of all taxes except kudumai due from the tiruvidaiyattam lands of five of the temples mentioned in No. 177 above by Suryadevan  Nirerran alias Rajaraja-Malaiyakularayan , the Malaiyaman chief of  Kiliyur, for meeting the expenses of worship and offering to the deities there in.

Manikanthesvara Temple – On The Same Wall.

This records a gift of 32 cows and a bull for the daily supply of an ulakku of ghee for burning a perpetual lamp in the temple of Tirumarperudaiyar, made by Tiruvarangamudaiyan Danmaparipalan alias Rajadhiraja-Malaiyarayan son of Malaitangi Kulottungasola-Malaiyarayan Munaiyadaraiyan of Tirunedumpirai in Naduvilmalai Perumur-nadu a division of Jayangondasolamandalam.
